Among our travels we come across various food places, .like restaurant, street food and for the first time I came across this interesting Snack by the Sea.
The place : Bophut Beach, Koh Sumai , (the second biggest Island of Thailand). This place is just 15 minutes drive from the Koh Sumai Airport. It is a very quiet and beautiful beach. We experienced warm water when we went for a swim
How to get here: We can go directly to Koh Sumai , as it has its own small beautiful Airport. The advantage being it has the Visa/ Arrival counters and people can avoid the busy Swarnabhoomi Airport of Bangkok.
What kind of food or snacks on this boat : we get various type of snacks right from Coconut water, Pineapple, corn to Chicken rolls, barbeque chicken.
Facts about Koh Sumai Island : It lies in the Gulf of Thailand and known for its beautiful Palm-fringed Beaches, coconut groves and dense mountain range and rain forest.
Places of interest : Big Buddha statue at Wat Phra Yai Temple. Most of the people come here to Koh Sumai to attend the Full Moon Party at the neighboring Island Koh Phangan. The other places to see at Koh Sinai is Chewang Beach, Wat Plai Laem Temple, Fisherman s Village bophut, Na Mueang-1 Waterfall.
The Island has lots of great Restaurants, Resorts and party hang outs to suit each ones budget.
Thailand as you be aware is studded with 7 Eleven stores at every nook and corner to take care of all your essential needs like water, snacks,medicine and even Beer. It also has a lot of massage parlors in most of the places and they are world renowned for their massage skills.People are very friendly and very courteous and give service with a smile
