Using a smartphone to capture local gems and beauties really helps consumers and guides truly express a communities unique hidden gems and local legends. Here is a few tips to make sure your pictures are crisp and clear:

  • Flash is your friend! Use it liberally and do alternating shots with and without flash use.
  • Take many photos then choose your best to edit and post.
  • Don’t forget the captions! People that see your photos aren’t mind readers, display precise info to give viewer a feel for the place!
  • Ask permission. To use people or pets, always ask permission to post and use paper documents for consent.

I can add that HDR is even your better friend!

Flash never was mine to be honest, in my experience it’s good when you know how to use it right and can diffuse it. Otherwise it kills everything.

And of course, much depends on the device you use. I’m happy to have Pixel and don’t know any frustration ever.
