Smartphone camera not so good? Try the editor!

I love adding photos on google maps:grin:! After writing a great review its only right to follow it up with photos that reflect your review. Taking great shots with a smartphone might not compare to a DSLR camera, worst still is using an old smartphone with a camera that isn’t as great as those on a google pixel or any other flagship :slightly_frowning_face:. Don’t fret! There is a way to tune your photos to better reflect what your review describes.

After adding all the pictures from your gallery or using your camera, don’t be so quick to post your review. Simple tap on any of the pictures and then it opens up and gives you an option to edit the picture and/or add a caption. Do both! You can edit pictures directly from your review and even pick the best preset that suites your picture and voila! Your less than realistic picture now has some life to it!:+1:

This has helped me add beautiful pictures with my 3 year old phone that closely reflects the beautiful places I have been to. With little experience with photography and the lack of a professional camera, you can still have wonderful pictures thanks to the editor!

Hi @iamdarola ,

I just wanted to let you know that I removed the accepted solution from my comment because it doesn’t answer any question or doesn’t solve any issue you might have. The purpose of this feature is to help Local Guides find answers when searching on the Connect. For more information you can take a look at How do I mark comments as solutions?
