Small town local murals and Art in Ontario Canada.

I live in the province of Ontario in Canada and although our history is relatively short compared to the rest of the world, I am always amazed at the local art or murals that I find in these smaller towns .I have travelled numerous small towns in Ontario love to see the history that these murals represent. Wish I had taken more photos before I became a Local guide. Hope you enjoy some of these.

These remind me of my visit to Port Angeles in Washington @TerryPG at that time it was so quiet and it was in December so it was cold and not many people goin out. It is the same time the Covid-19 outbreak is still there. We drove around Port Angeles to look for restaurants but mostly they were closed. I enjoyed seeing big wall painting or street art of the city. I really love it. Here is my post about Port Angeles and some photos!

Yes, there are many others in the town center but we did not stop the car for photos. These are from the two pieces along the port only. What I saw in the center are maybe 3-4 more and mixed… beautiful murals @TerryPG

Hello @TerryPG ,

Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos with us, these murals are simply amazing!

Looking at the pictures, one has the impression of going back in time. History, facts, costumes, everything looks incredible!

Are these murals located in the same area, or they are a bit everywhere around the city?

I’m sharing with you a photo of a street art that I took in Sofia, Bulgaria. The style is completely different, but it shows people dressed in Bulgarian traditional clothes.

Thank you @AdamGT and @BorrisS Ontario is a province in Canada and is quite large It is about double the size of France and Spain put together or about 1/3rd the size of India. Borris these photos were taken in 4 different towns and cities in central and southern Ontario. And yes you can feel the history in these photos.

Found a couple of more photos, the first photo is From Collingwood Ontario which was once known as the shipbuilding capital of ships for the great lake, Sadly the shipyard closed over 20 years ago due to cheaper ships being made overseas. When they launched a ship everyone from miles around came to see the event.

The next mural photo is not from Ontario but from Willemstad Curacao.

I encourage all to post Their historical art murals here

Found another a couple of weeks ago This mural is in St. Jacobs Ontario which is the heart of the Mennonite way of life in Ontario. They still drive their horse driven wagons thru town. You drive slowly past the horses and of course they do not drive on Highways, but they still dress in their typical garb.

Hi @TerryPG what an amazing painting :paintbrush: :art: thank you for sharing i seriously would have miss it if you wouldn’t have shared.

Thank you :grinning:
