I’m an nature lover and adventurer by heart and always look out for something interesting, active to do in nature or outdoors in general. And most interesting thing I’ve done being a local guide is posting 360 photos at some ideal spots which give good perspective of the area to people looking it up on Google Street View/Maps.
I live in Singapore which is a tourist Hub in South east asia but I know of one paradise in Singapore which no tourist will visit. Even not all locals visit or know about it. It is a small Island called St Johns Island which is about 45 mins ferry ride from Marina South Pier.
This place is nothing short of a paradise it has two beautiful lagoons where we can swim. Water is clean and clear, not transparent but clean. Island is spotless clean, quite with lush green trees and well maintained grass. You will not find Singapore cell tower so you may be forced to unplug. This makes us appreciate the beauty of this place beautiful place.
Island turns into a heaven after some downpour as all trees and surroundings are washed by the water and there is clean, quite fresh atmosphere with birds chirping sound just making the scene as if we are in a paradise. This is a good place for Fishing too which is why I was there with my friend this Saturday we had packed our breakfast and lunch and off by morning 10 am ferry. I had my long angel with some lure hoping for big catch on the rushing by the waters channels.
There are ferries at 10 am, 2pm during the day and on weekends there is also at 9 am. We reached setup angel tried our luck by the lunch time we ate and off for swimming in the lagoon. This is happening place as there are a few yatche’s, people standup paddel boarding, slip-n-slide and just having good time.
I took some 360 photos around these lagoons before the swim and after spending few hours we started to walk around and it rained heavy we took shelter nearby had convo with fellow anglers who ran to shelter as well.
After rain stopped we went back to fishing until it was 5:50 pm then we pack all our fishing gear and headed to the Jetty for ride back to Marina. It was just one day in St John’s Island I felt I had been somewhere in Thailand or Indonesian Island.
