Small Girl, Big Appetite

Standing 4-foot 11-inches, I may be small, but my appetite is mighty and my palate is extensive. I love food. All of it. From a simple slice of pizza to desserts on fire to dishes I can’t pronounce. My day revolves around breakfast, lunch and dinner – and several snacks in between. The weekends are one big adventure to find the next great plate and rediscover old favorites. That is why my favorite thing to share on Google Maps is my love of food! Places to eat, whether it’s an upscale restaurant or a food truck, are my favorite things to review.

Growing up in a big Italian family, meals were a special time. A time to gather with family and friends. A time to welcome new people into our homes and a time to leave the rest of the world behind and focus on each other. D.C. is a fast-paced place and with busy schedules, it can be hard to connect with people. However, one thing everyone can come together on is food. Scoping out the latest restaurants is fun for me as I eat my way through D.C. and I want to share this all with others! I want people to be able to see D.C. for more than just politics and big buildings. D.C. has some great hidden spots and new places are always popping up. I hope my reviews and photos help residents discover something new and help visitors discover something they won’t forget.

I live and work near some great neighborhoods for food lovers. Just walking from the bus stop I stop into Momiji, a Japanese restaurant with fresh sushi and hibachi. Extra points for happy hour drinks and rolls if you’re looking to fulfill a sushi craving on a budget.

A few blocks over and I come across RPM Italian. Chicken Parmesan and spaghetti are always wins in my eyes and remind me of my grandma’s cooking. When I’m feeling carnivorous I walk a few blocks from my apartment to find Texas de Brazil. An all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse. Don’t fill up too much on the salad bar, which has much more than salad, because soon you’ll flip your card to green and have several waiters flocking toward you with meat to slice from their skewer to your plate. Turn to red when you need a break-- though it won’t last long.

Love of food is in my blood and being able to share it with others through reviews and photos on Google is just a small contribution I’m happy to be able to make in this crazy world!

Hi @WriterGal18

I have just released your post from spam quarantine.

Being Italian, I am very curious about the meaning that food have for the Italian families around the world. I have found good Italian food everywhere, from Argentina to Thailand, Included Macon (GA) where I lived for more than one year.

Welcome in Connect, hope you will have a lot of fun in here. If you want, you can introduce yourself in here: Introduce Yourself - March 2019
