Small businesses in Singapore
Doing business in Singapore is a costly affair. Usually a business would have to rent a place and the rental rate in Singapore can kill the most passionate entrepreneur in Singapore. Some times the small businesses’ progress are not hampered by the rental rates, but by the unfair contract terms in the leasing agreement which the landlords imposed. In Singapore, small businesses are not protected by Unfair Contract Terms Act.
So, i enjoy highlighting small businesses that deserved support. At times, I approached the small business owners and share with them the benefits of “claiming” the business in the Google Maps app.
