Friend @MahabubMunna issued a bit of a challenge for Skyscraper week and I thought, well, what better way to do this than to use images of the famous skyscrapers of Manhattan Island New York City as shot from one of the tallest buildings in the city, The Empire State Building. In 2018 I was lucky enough to be able to visit New York the main home of Google Local Guides and booked an experience on the top of The Empire State Building. The night was rainy, cloudy, foggy and miserable, in other words perfect for dramatic photography. I was up there for many hours and managed to get thoroughly soaked. Fortunately my Olympus and its lenses are waterproof!
Hello, @PaulPavlinovich !
What a stunning collection of photos you’ve captured! It is the first time I have seen Manhattan’s towers in such stunning light.
What a amazing photos! Really nice
.
Thank you @PaulPavlinovich for posting.
Hello @PaulPavlinovich thank you for sharing these pictures with us , well these tall buildings is very attractive and beautiful , I’m sure that the night life of this place is so good ![]()
The island is quite beautiful at night and when seen across the harbour @Kunjan811 and if you can get up high such has on Empire State or Top of the Rock I would encourage you to do it at night. The view at sunrise and sunset can be spectacular too on the right day.
@KalyanPal I noticed your accessibility champion signature pic - very cool, thanks for supporting people. This viewing deck is fully accessible as are most places in USA and Australia.
@Mukul_Anand The night life in New York is anything you want it to be - it probably doesn’t matter what you want chances are you will find it, watch out though as it might just find you first!
Paul
Although it may seem miserable because of the weather, but your photos are so dramatic and beautiful @PaulPavlinovich
I believe that you really enjoyed your time back then.
Any cool activity that we could do besides enjoying the amazing view?
Do you still remember how much the ticket price?
All I can say is WOW
Beautiful view at night @PaulPavlinovich I bet it looks better at night than during the day. Have you seen it during the day?
It reminds me of the skyscraper in Bangkok I hang out at night with my friends. Miss the city tour!
Now you make me miss NYC terribly @PaulPavlinovich … Love the photos you have shared! I guess I will join the challenge from @MahabubMunna as well… I do have some photos of those skyscrappers.
I went up to the Empire State Building several times as well as the Rockeffeler Center, Paul… enjoying sunset from there is simply marvelous!
Hola @PaulPavlinovich que vistas de la Gran Manzana. Le sacarĂa la denominaciĂłn de “dramáticas”

Thanks @nkwetche
@indahnuria its quite an amazing city, I went to Top of the Rock too and had somewhat better luck. I would love to do sunrise from either one day.
@CAAG1959 thanks and greetings from Australia ![]()
@PaulPavlinovich What a fantastic group of photos! You achieved clarity (!), color, and drama enough to hold my interest and want to see more. Thank you for sharing! Is there one place on Connect where Guides can find information on specialized photo topics such as Skyscraper Week? Again, many thanks. Cercis
I’m glad you enjoyed them @Cercis I’ve not seen anything on Skyscraper Week (hadn’t really even heard of it to be honest) can you tell me some more about it? Maybe we can do an event for it?

@PaulPavlinovich Greetings! I based my comment on “Skyscraper Week” on your introduction to this beautiful set of photos, “Friend @MahabubMunna issued a bit of a challenge for Skyscraper week.” I sometimes like to work around a photo theme, that is why your comment intrigued me. Again, let me say that I thoroughly enjoyed your photos.
