Singapore Historical Riverside Quay - CLARK QUAY

Hi local guides family!

I want to introduce my favorite place in Singapore to you, Clarke Quay, which was named after Sir Andrew Clarke, Singapore’s second Governor and Governor of the Straits Settlements from 1873 to 1875, who played a key role in positioning Singapore as the main port for the Malay states of Perak, Selangor and Sungei Ujong

It is a historical riverside quay in Singapore for warehouse & trading purposes, but has been rebuild into a restaurant and bar!

I will share wonderful scenery at this stunning place with yours, let us begin the journey!

The night view here is very beautiful, attracting tourists from all over the world to relax here.

There are boats on the river to take you to famous attractions such as Marina Bay Sands, and could also enjoy the beautiful Light and Shadow Water Dance Show at Marina Bay!

There is also a famous bungee jump in Clark Quay! This allows you to experience the thrill of excitement and shout out the pressure and dissatisfaction of life!

As spoken, Clarke Quay has many unique and great dining environment, with alcohol selection!

This is the foods and cocktails we ordered for the dinner

Street view of Clark Quay, the decoration made ambience here very suitable for couples to date.

A person who works in a foreign country must bear a lot of dissatisfaction/unspeakable suffering, so I like to come here to relieve stress, even just eating ice cream alone, with feeling the wind blow, to calm my mind and feel quiet.

Before leaving, punch a photo in this lovely place to record it into my album.

Appreciate to be with me to footer of this story!

I will looking forward to share with you, local guide family another interesting places in this world, stay tuned!

@GoldenPapa Glad that at least around our areas, the pandemic is slowing down, and we can go out and support local businesses. Glad that Clarke Quay is also attracting back the usual crowd.

Were there businesses that closed down there recently? Around my area, I can see some small outlets have closed. That’s in KL though.

Hi @StephenAbraham ,

Actually, in the current situation, the ferry service is temporarily suspended,

restaurants and bars’ alcohol can only serve until 10.30 pm.

However, it is still recommended to take a rest at the riverside with wind blow to calm the mind & relieve stress. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @GoldenPapa

Oh, I just knew that there is a bungee jump in Clarke Quay. So cool!

Have you ever tried it? How long does it take to enjoy the bungee jump and how much it is?

Hi @Velvel

Tickets for either the G-Max Reverse Bungy or GX-5 Extreme Swing cost S$45 per person (S$35 for students). They also have a combo deal for both rides – if you can stomach it – for S$65 per person. Riders must be over 1.2 metres tall and over 12 years old.

However, the entertainment is temporarily suspended,

I am not tried it before as I might need find a friend together

Thank you so much for the detailed information @GoldenPapa

Do you know why it is being being suspended? Is it because of the pandemic?
