Back in 2014 when I was working on my final assignment as a condition to graduate from my college. At that time there was free time that I could use to relax. I and several other friends decided to take a trip to the Dieng area, precisely to Mount Sikunir. We camped there for one night, and planned to get up early to see the beautiful sunrise from the top of the mountain, more precisely it might be called a hill.
Why here? The hill located in Sembungan Village, Kejajar Subdistrict, Wonosobo Regency, Central Java is a favorite destination for enjoying the beauty of the sunrise. It’s been proven, the view from the top of the hill is indeed very amazing. It only takes about 30 minutes to reach the top.
At that time the situation on the hill was still quiet, the trail was still not good and the land was still muddy, so it needed more struggle to get to the top. Unlike today, the situation is far better, the improved hiking trails and cleaner tops make it much more comfortable for visitors. Do you want to visit there now? I recommend because it’s good, easily accessible and the facilities are more complete.
Unfortunately, when we visited the sikunir hill it was in the rainy season. So the sunrise looks not clear because it is covered by fog, but still looks beautiful.
