You love what you have created from nothing. That´s what happens withsmall businesses. That little shop of the alley means their whole life. And that´s what I love sharing as a Google Local Guide. One of the things I like most is that little chat with the owner in this kind of places. They want you to buy, of course! They need to live at last. But money is not what pushes them going ahead in that little room every day. Every furniture has a story, they started surely following a dream…and you can barely touch it when you talk to them , look into their eyes and say something like: what an amazing store you have! A smile comes always fast and bright and a chat full of humanity appears. You may buy or not, but you have given them a chance to remember why they started. Madrid has hundreds of places like these ones. I love those
that have “always” been there. They have an elegance and a special smell. The smell of history, the real life history. Chueca, Malasaña, Tetuán… every neighborhood has a different character, something unnamed that gives them an special charm. There´s nothing best than walking without a clear course among the narrow streets. Then you forget you are in a huge city that imposes you a too fast way of life. Sunday mornings…and small businesses. yes, I´ll go on sharing them.
