I am a proud member of Bangladesh Local Guides and I am a private job holder and working as Head of HR & Admin in a renowned group of companies in Bangladesh. My company’s group name is bitopi group-বিটপী গ্রুপ . Recently i claimed the business on behalf of company to manage it in Google My Business . Suddenly I observed that, While searching Bitopi group-বিটপী গ্রুপ in the google maps Showing an area instead of showing the particular location of the place.
The actual location of the place in the google maps will be Bitopi Group How can I solve it?
Also, showing in map information of this place that, " You manage This business profile" . But, in the business profile showing " Pending Verification"
Hi @SirajulAzad , First I’d like to let you know that the Connect is a place for Local Guides activities. For verified business, you should post this on the Google My Business forum.
However, I’d like to share my idea of why this is happening. I am guessing you have selected Bangladesh in the ‘Service area’ section of your business. And this is why it is showing that your service covers the whole of Bangladesh. If your business is not a Service-area business please remove this from your dashboard and it would be ok.
As clearly highlighted by @SaifIS , this is a problem related to your business, and a setting of the listing as a Service area. The Help page of GMB will help you to attribute the correct settings, and the GMB Community will help you in this.
Please avoid to mix your Local Guide role and your business role, because this is against the Local Guides Program Terms and Conditions : “Organizations, brands, and businesses are not eligible for the Program.”
Thank you very must for the informative information of the role of Local guide in connection with GMB as I was not aware of it.
Also, as an employee of the company just claimed the business on behalf of the company to solve a problem and to train an authorized employee to maintain it.
I corrected the service area and remove service from Bangladesh as your suggestion. But, correction has not happened, so per I know the correction will not be appear until the business is verified. If you have any other suggestion, please advise.
