Showcasing Small Business - Dosa Camp, Bengaluru

Hi everyone,

Due to Covid lockdown, many small businesses especially got affected. The people who were running small businesses for their daily living had no ways to earn money as things happened so fast and unexpected. I am writing this post to show my support for small businesses. I will start writing number of post with name Showcasing small business and every post will talk about one small business and my experience, things I know about the business, which I have come across in my Local Guides journey. In this post, I will talk about the Vegetarian Restaurant in Bengaluru named Sri Kandha Vilas Dosa Camp. This Restaurant serves various vegetarian dishes and the food they serve is very hygienic and it taste so great. The customer service is really good. If you were in Bengaluru, and you would like to try Tamilnadu style Vegetarian dishes, I would sure suggest you to have here.

They don’t have seatings since the place is small. There are stands available. They serve mineral water. Some of the vegetarian dishes which they serve are Dosa, Idly, Pongal, etc in the morning. Parotta, Chapathi, etc in the night. If you want to know about South Vegetarian Dishes, check this post which I wrote recently. Sambar/Khurma is kept on the side which give the flexibility for us to put by ourselves the right quantity. Photo of Parotta with Khurma in Dosa Camp below.

I would like to conclude with one of experiences in this Restaurant. I have visited it so many times prior to lockdown as I was at Bengaluru that time and this place will be crowded especially in peak time like 9AM. I went there and ordered some dishes and told to parcel it. They parcelled it and gave it to me. As it was crowded, the parcel mistakenly felt from my hand and the Sambar(in a liquid form) spread all over the floor. I got nervous as there was so many people and it will affect their movement. I requested the Shop owner to give me a cloth/mop to clean it. The shop owner generously told me leave it and told his worker to clean the floor. And not only that, he took that parcel and even got me another parcel and without charging any additional money. I was amazed by the service.

This was my experience in the Dosa Camp. I would suggest to write a post on Showcasing small business and highlight any of your favorite small business and tag me. I am eager to know about any small business in your place.

Stay Safe. Take care.

Very nice @SalmaanN

Supporting small businesses is really important nowadays. To support small businesses my favourite contribution is add their business on Google maps so more people can easily find them on map.

Between I want to share Masala Dosa, which I tried at Dosa Point in Karachi some months ago, and it was delicious :yum:
