The Northern and Southern Hemispheres always experience opposite seasons. When we in the Northern Hemisphere enjoy spring, people in the Southern Hemisphere enjoy fall. We all live on the same earth, but we don’t experience the same seasons, and even the same season can be very different, depending on where you are.
Right now, it’s spring in New York. Flowers are blooming, trees are bright green, and the weather is mild. Soon it will be summer, hot and sticky.
What season are you experiencing now? How would you describe the scenery around you? Is it different from what I see?
As you know, Connect is a global community where everyone is invited to discuss many different topics and to share photos. Here are a few examples:

I’ll go first.
It’s spring in New York City, but soon it’ll be summer. Luckily, we can still enjoy seeing beautiful cherry blossom trees. There are several great places in New York City to find cherry blossoms, but Cherry Hill is one of the most popular. It is located in the middle of Central Park. I feel spring when I see the cherry blossoms — called “sakura” in Japanese. Many Japanese in New York picnic under the cherry blossoms to enjoy “hanami,” which means flower viewing.
This is the current seasonal landscape of New York. What does the season look like where you are?
