One of my favorite things about Google Maps is my ability to find local ice cream. If you were to look at my searches in the different places (that I’ve been lucky to visit), you’d see ice cream shops saved in my maps. So, tell me your favorite ice cream shops and I’ll share my own! I’ll save your suggestions (for next time I’m in the area) and you can do the same and save yourself a search.
Also, I am on a mission to find somewhere in the US that serves “booza”, a stretchy middle eastern ice cream that I’ve never tried, so if you can hook me up… I’d be grateful!
Right now my Chicagoland favorite ice cream shops are these:
- Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream (5337 W Devon Ave, Chicago, IL 60646): This is such a unique place - full of subversive political art and amazingly tasty ice cream
- Brown Cow Ice Cream (7347 Madison St, Forest Park, IL 60130): Super old-fashioned ice cream parlor with traditional high butterfat ice cream flavors
