Should we do anything else after flagging a fake review as Spam/Advertising?

I recently read a review that sounded like it was written by a shill for a competitor. The reviewer has written four reviews, three of which are 1-star “reviews” of competitors, and one is a 5-star review for the company he recommends highly in the other three reviews.

I clicked the “flag” and reported the review I had originally read as Spam/Advertising. There was not a field to enter free text.

If free text had been available I would have pointed out the pattern described above. Would sending this additional information to Google Search & Maps be helpful? Or, as I think is the case, will Goggle staff check this reviewer’s other posts anyway?

Many thanks,

Mark

@Mark_W Unfortunately we do not have anything else to do, except flagging. If a local guide is doing this frequently you may report him. To know about this please read 'How to identify and report fraud on Google Maps.
