Should people have a google account in order to follow me as a local guide?

I know this may sound silly, but do people have to have a google account in order to follow me as a local guide? Sorry if this is obvious but I am learning! Thanks for your patience!!

@Jrodgers1967 You need to have a Google Account to become a local Guide. So the answer is yes.

Also even if you are not a local guide, you need to be logged in to your google account to follow someone.

Thanks but my question was “do you have to be logged into Google in order to follow me as a Local guide.” Not how to become a lical

guide. I have a lot of friends who are not local guides who would still like to follow me.

To follow someone, @Jrodgers1967 , you need to be logged in in Google Maps, because the “follow” and “following” status are recorded, associated to an account.

So, yes, you need a Google account, and you need to be logged in.

Then, you don’t need to be a Local Guide to follow someone
