Short Affair With Petra, Jordan 🇯🇴

Petra is a place you need to see, to believe, that it is in fact real-life.

It was a hot scorching day while crossing Petra from Jordan and heading to Israel. Yet I decided and took a short break and made a quick visit to Petra for about 3hrs.

The entry fee was JD. 50.00 (approx. USD 70.00 and INR. 5350.00) The experience was beyond immeasurable, words are limited to describe and so sharing some of the snippets.

Petra is one of the New seven Wonders of the World representation of Jordan and therefore, Jordan’s most visited tourist attraction known as the Rose City due to the colour of the stone or the Lost City as the site remained unknown to the Western world until 1812, UNESCO even described the historical and archaeological city as “one of the most precious cultural properties of man’s cultural heritage”

[Fun facts: You get to experience horse bullock cart and single rides too.

They will pick you from entry to exit point - vice versa]

It was literally amazing to witness the formation of the rocks and how the Nabataeans built the water canals etc…too many many to explore and learn.

Today being in the AI (Artificial Intelligence) world we still got so much to learn from ancient days ~ their dedication, wisdom, and unity that continue to build and make wonders till today!

Never lose your sense of wonders ?

Do share your favourite travel wonder too ?

Hello @armes ,
I first learned about this place in the late 80’s when the movie “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” starring Harrison Ford was released.
Towards the end of the film there are scenes shot there.
Which Jackie Chan movie was filmed there?

Best regards!

@Ewaade_3A please check the video it’s a great chance to you ! I brought you a free ticket this time  .

It called ( Red Rose City ) because it’s located in a reddened Rocky Area ,All appears to you with a red,.or Pink color naturally :sunglasses: .Sands, rocks, reflection of the nature appears like red. They said also it sends out the relaxation and quittance when entering there because of the Red / Pink color of the nature.

I advise to check my post . There is an incredible video.

Cheers my friend :+1:

Thank you dear @Ewaade_3A for your kindness. It makes my day!
