On the world map you’d see the small Island nation Sri Lanka under the Southern tip of the Indian subcontinent. Since there is no landmass beyond south of Sri Lanka till all the way up to Antarctica, almost all the ships travelling from the West to east and from the East to West travel pass Sri Lanka. The island is an ideal place to photograph ships. All you need to do is sit on the beach with your camera with and your zoom lens to find out for yourself! Colombo, the biggest and the most densely populated city in the country is right by the sea, where are there are plenty of hotels to match any wallet If your hotel is on the coast you can see ships passing by from your hotel room.
