Shidal is a special type of food made from dried fish and stalks of small fish. Shidal, a popular food in the north, carries the traditions of Rangpur, Nilphamari, Panchagarh and Kurigram regions in particular. The birth of Shidal is directly related to the abundance of fish in North Bengal.
