Coming to Hulhumalé was almost like a shock after being at a resort for a couple of days. Construction going on everywhere, dirt, stray cats, scooters everywhere and the hotel wasn’t really what the pictures promised. We tried to make the best of it and started exploring the Hulumalé and Malé. We had discovered this place called Shell Beans on Google Maps, but when came there the location was closed and we literally gave up. However on the way back we randomly came across the new location. Directly at the beach and we decided to give it a go.
Little did we know that we would end up going there for breakfast, sometimes lunch and dinner. The food was amazing, the staff super friendly and we instantly made friends with a chef of the restaurant and the social media team. This led to us being flooded in delicious cakes.
The menu might look a like a bit of everything, Pizza, Burger, Sushi, Asian Rice Dishes and and and, however we liked pretty much every byte of food they put on a plate in front of us.
As we were visiting the main island Malé during daytime we also visited their location there. But that’s a story for another time.
