Hi! This is Jen and I’m a Local Guide in Hong Kong!
I guess it all started with a pasta dish from a little corner tea bar in the middle of San Po Kong in Hong Kong.
It was lunchtime.
And the streets were bustling, lined with re-purposed, old factory buildings reminisce of industrial Hong Kong 50 years past. Many turned into cheap offices for businesses that were just starting out, and for some, it’s home.
Just around the corner between Tai You Street and Ng Font Street, was the tea bar Green Impressions. They’re kind of like a cafe, but they serve tea, so ‘tea bar’. We went there all the time, since it was close to our office, served good food, and pretty cheap when you consider its quality. The door bell chimed as we walked in.
Today’s Special: Angel Hair with Shrimp
Ordered. Camera clicked.
I guess this was when it all started. A snapshot of a place you’ve visited, stories you’ve heard from these places, a fleeting moment in time for you, can help someone out there find their way to a new and interesting experience as well. The reason why I share on Google Maps is because there are moments in life that should be shared. And what better way to share these moments than the app that not only takes people to places, but also the app that takes people to make new memories. Memories like the extra special Angel Hair with Shrimp pasta dish!
