Sharing those little or not so little local gems is important for local guides. When I travel to a new city, I ask locals for the best bites, spots, and events. Locals know, and I like helping those who visit my corners of the world know where to go and what to do.
I think everyone wants to feel a little at home everywhere they go. Local guides helps with that.
