Sharing the discoveries

All journeys are unique and never the same. Sometimes you’d plan for an active adventure, after which you will most certainly require another month of rehabilitation, some other time you’d prefer a peaceful holiday sitting somewhere on a deck in the mountains watching fluffy clouds go by. Nonetheless, all travels are meant to help you unwind and find internal peace within your Universe.

Regardless of the grand plan, I always plan to see or do at least one new thing every time I go out travelling. That’s what excites me most – stepping off the beaten track, discovering new sights, experiencing something new! And then there’s that intolerable urge to share this with other travellers that you might have never met, but who you know will greatly appreciate your advice.

Being a Local Guide gives me the opportunity and a platform to share specific extracts of my travels right on Google Maps, where most people will source their information from, receive requests for comment and answer questions of your fellow travellers. This is what differentiates Local Guides approach from traditional blogs for me – sharing somewhat ‘blindly’ but for the greater good with a large audience rather than having a small group of personal blog subscribers. Getting thousands of viewers of your content from around the world every month and growing as you post more is both encouraging and rewarding.

No @immotus I don’t recognise the location from the photo but I’m guessing Mt Cook.
