Sharing Photos

Being a local guide comes with a certain responsibility, at least in my opinion, especially when it comes to publishing photos. A good photo can make a difference and make people want to visit that place. Same thing happens with a bad photo, a bad photo of place you like even if your review is good can make people think twice about going. That being said, i’m in no way suggesting that a photo should be retouched to make the place or restaurant look unrealistically good, but to present the best side. A good example is Tiwanaku in La Paz, Bolivia, the photos mostly published from the place are with bad lighting or of tourists with a very “boring background” so not really showing the beautiful view of the mountains in the landscape. Anyway the best way to be a good local guide is to learn a bit about photography and try to keep it about the place you are visiting and not about you.
