I love sharing pictures of less known nature spots on Google maps around my home. Pictures allow other users to get a glimpse of a place they haven’t been to before. By this, they can quickly see if they like the style of a place or not, and if it seems like it would be a place suitable for them to travel to.
On Many occasions, I have been with my family on a trip near home. We could be searching and navigating to a place we know, and Google would suggest a nearby attraction we did not know about.Taking a glimpse of the pictures and seeing what it looks like convinced us on many occasions to change our trip destination and explore a new place we didn’t know about, in our home surroundings.
Some of these places include the beautiful archeological park of Tel Gezer, an old ferries wheel in a nearby Kibbutz, a patch of beautiful Lupine flowers in full bloom just a few minutes from our home, a dairy farm with cows we enjoyed feeding, a secluded lagoon beach perfect for my kids, a historical cave with thousands of bats in it which was a quick walking distance from my daughter’s dance lessons. And these were just some of our new explorations this past month.
Adding my own photos to these and new locations allows others to be easily
adventurous and find a great experience just around the corner.
