I love to share photos of local places and businesses on Google Maps.
The Indian maps do not always offer Streetview and many addresses are subdivided into smaller businesses and listings. Updating images of local places helps me to identify and search the places more easily when I am visiting again.
The image offers a visual clue and anyone searching for a place or address can refer to the image and be sure of his destination. Many small and medium businesses are still not listed on google and google maps, so when an image is uploaded with details it makes it easy to locate.
The image of a storefront or Business entrance also gives the business owner an option to list the image against its business. I also like to update information and answer questions about the local businesses, things like parking options.
