Sharing My Travel Experiences

Even from long ago, pirates have used maps to get to the treasure. Now, Google map has brought the world at our fingertips. Gone are the days when we have to rely on verbal instructions on how to get from point A to point B. Nowadays, all we need is a device that can link us to the net and we are good to go. In order to reach a point where the map is 100% reliable, it must build a database or a foundation. This is where the local guides come in. From all over the world, we can share pictures, reviews, operation hours of a store, and much much more, so that others can simply check it online and see everything they need to know about that particular place.

For me, I like to share my experiences with the new places I have visited both locally and internationally. I rely on my own experiences, both good and bad, hoping that it might ease some of my fellow traveler’s woes of being in a new place. I share pictures of my travels, hoping that other users might be able to get the feel of the place. Along with the good, there is also the flip side of it, and I also share the nuances I encounter, which is not that often.

I answer questions whenever I can about a place. Every little bit counts, for example, the accessibility features and the business hours. It might not seem much but somewhere out there someone might be looking into what time the local store opens.

It is also my way of giving a glimpse of giving the outside world a peek into the wonders I have seen, which can bring business to that place, be it an increase in tourism or improved clientele.

Lastly, it’s a give and take relationship, as long as I use Google map, I must contribute to help others as well. Only by building reliable and honest reviews, can we create a Google map that will benefit most of us. One might not always agree with the reviews, but you could always weigh the pros and cons from the different reviews about the place and decide if the place is worth visiting.
