Sharing Love Through Lists - #ConnectLive2020

What is the most interesting thing I have done as a local guide

I used to take pictures of my travels and places I ate at for myself, and posted them on Maps every once in a while. When I saw that my pictures started getting traction, I became meticulous about taking pictures of the food I ate and interesting things I observed so I could post them and write useful reviews. I also noticed that businesses cared about reviews and responded to them which motivated me even more to write helpful reviews. Posting pictures and writing reviews comprise most of my contributions as a local guide. However, recently I realized making lists was a great way to save places for myself and reduce the time for others looking for similar information. These are the few lists I have created so far:

Chasing Bluebonnets – Houston/Austin: I am a resident of Houston. I came across events on social media for viewing bluebonnets and realized that these wildflowers are endemic to Texas. I was intrigued and after researching online, created this list of places where you can find bluebonnets and other wildflowers in abundance.

Thai Restaurants I’ve loved in the US: I love Thai food because it reminds me of the comfort of my home Manglorean cuisine. I love to try local Thai restaurants whenever I travel, so I compiled this list of Thai places I’ve eaten at and loved around the United States. I will keep updating this list as I travel.
