Sharing is a Taco...and Tacos Saves Lives

You never know the pain someone is silently carrying and when a simple review, post, or picture could save their life or their business. Posting as a Local Guide, I enjoy sharing my experiences because Sharing has become an art form these days and Art Saves Lives…when I first saw that saying on a t-shirt, I thought, “oh that’s only for Art Therapy”. But no. It is for Tacos, too. For several months, I passed by the bright pink pop-up sign that read “Taco Punk Cafe” because I didn’t know if it was real or not and I don’t like the color pink. Finally, one day I had the tacos and oh were they were fabulous! I had to find them online in hopes of boosting their business because…well…tacos. I left a 5 star review and returned the following week but no tacos. The following week after that, still no tacos. I was bummed. I was too late, my post didn’t help and the pop-up closed. But then, one night walking with a friend, I was talking about these fabulous tacos and unbeknownst to me, the owner was standing right there! He heard me and said “OH I KNOW YOU! YOU POSTED ABOUT MY TACOS!” He went on to tell me the story of how he lost his spot that same night. He was distraught and wanted to give up until he saw my post later that evening and it renewed his spirit to find another location and he DID! I saw right then and there that my sharing can help a struggling business/artist fulfill their dreams. And that brings me closer to our ever-expanding community. And it brings tacos to the people.
