Accessibility options when you visit places

Let me be frank in admitting that i was never aware of and neither thought of the plight of disabled people who use wheelchair and the difficulties they face when visiting places. TOTALLY IGNORANT then. But thanks to Google Maps i am NOW fully aware of the difficulties faced by the disabled persons and how the society ,meaning us, should be considerate enough to accommodate them in all sphere of activities .

This change in me happened when i became a Local Google Guide and when i started reviewing places i visit like Restaurants,Hotels, Public park,Libraries,Beaches, Bus stations,Railway stations,Airports etc. There will be always a question from Google whether the place is wheelchair accessible and whether ramps are provided. This awareness created helped me to know the plight of disabled persons. Now wherever i visit places, my eye automatically searches for the availability or lack of provisions for wheel chair users. If no such facilities are there i try to make a suggestion to consider creating such facilities.

Thanks to Google Maps
