Share your Christmas 🎄 story 2021

My favorite Christmas memories is from when I was a child. On Noche Buenas My mother and father would wake up early to make lechón, congri and yuca which is usually a cuban dish. Me and my brother sat outside on the front porch at night and we both saw a long light in the sky that couldn’t be a plane or star. The light was moving. We saw Santa Clause. We both went to sleep because our parents said Santa was not coming if we didn’t go to sleep. On Christmas day we open our presents. That feeling of magic as kids is what I treasure. I want to start a thread where local guides share their holiday memories. Every culture celebrates differently. You can share photographs as well of Christmas houses decorated for example You can share the food you made. I shared how our culture celebrates our holidays and I’m inviting you to share your own Holiday stories around the world.

@Hkitty0573 Christmas is such a special time and can hold so many beautiful memories for us as kids if we are fortunate enough to celebrate them. I was fortunate to be able to celebrate them as a child. But we didn’t have much thought of Santa, but the tree was pretty much centre of what we do as well as presents and food and gatherings with friends and family. As my family were very active in church we would participate in Christmas musicals, and shows done by the youth, with many songs. We also went out as a carolling team to different homes to sing. Friends would also visit us.

In my city which is Melbourne, many (not all) people often decorate their front yards and inside their homes. Some go all out to put on huge beautiful Christmas displays. The shops are usually brimming with items for sale that you can buy to decorate your home with. Here is a collage of some photos I took recently.
