Local Guide program has simply shaped many new ideas in my mind. I have been on this platform for several years now, and every day I get more excited about it and about contributing more here.
Since I was in Lebanon, before traveling anywhere, I felt responsible for introducing my city to locals and nonlocal travelers, since the E-information is so limited concerning my city and I have heard from many international friends that they struggle to find information about monuments, restaurants and other places around the city. I started to contribute, share my experience, as well as add and edit to the map when needed. my work was quite heavy since this culture is not so wide back home, people do not give attention to this.
It kept with me after I traveled and started to go around Europe, visiting more than 12 countries, always trying to find the place where I can help people by sharing information I think it is useful.
It is also about saving time and energy by reading about the experience of fellow guides, their reviews, and opinion.
The community created by the Local guide is motivating us all to add our touch and get in touch with other guides from all around the world. It is a platform bringing people cross-culturally to help, share, and add improve tourism all around the world.
