Shams-ol-Emareh (Edifice of the Sun) is the most stunning structures of the Golestan Palace.
The idea of building a tall structure came to Nasser-ol-Din Shah before his first European and from pictorial images of European buildings. The Monarch wanted a structure from which he could have panoramic views of the city.

The building has two identical towers. The exterior views have multiple arches, intricate tile work, and ornate windows. This building is a fusion of Persian and European architecture.

To see this palace, you must enter the Golestan complex and you can visit all the palaces, but each palace has a separate ticket.

I’ve never been to Iran, but some friends of mine were, and they told me only beautiful things about it.

Do you live close to this area? In Europe, usually, there is a day in the week where such places are closed, what about Iran?

Your friends are right, there are many tourist attractions in Iran, historical, natural and …
Friday is a holiday in Iran, so on Saturday all historical sites and museums are closed.
