SETTING THE WORLD ABLAZE IN A VIRTUAL REALITY

Have you ever tried watching a movie on a Video CD on your laptop? I am sure many of us have

Have you tried going to see thesame movie in a cinema in 4D?

My o My! You can not just feel the difference but experience it.

When you see a movie in 4D, it is an immersive experience. You feel every sharp twist, jerk, bend, the fog, the bright sunlight, the shrieks, you are a coactor in a movie right from your Seat in the Cinema! You are not only made to watch the movie but to experience it.

This is exactly what the Google Local Guides program means to me; the ability to not just see the world but to experience it.

I saw the Globe for the first time in our Living room as a Five year old. I still remember its position. Perched proudly along the Coloured Television and stereo that lined up the Shelf. One day, I asked my Father what it was and with eyes beaming, he explained how the Globe represented the world and how each inscription represented the places of the world. My Father is an Avid lover of Geography.

I thought it was cool that something I could almost carry represented the world.

Through the impact of the Local Guides Program, I will not just have to show my five year old the Globe, when eventually I have one, but she will be able to visit every part of the world through the Photos, Videos and Impressive Lists that have been shared by all the Amazing Local Guides around the world.

The Local Guides Program has succeeded in setting the world ablaze in a Virtual reality. I am so glad this program found me.
