This hidden gem is located in the old chinese quarter of Kolkata. Many of us have a misconception that topsia is the one and only chinese quarter which is aka China Town but historically the oldest chinese quarter is situated at Terreti Bazar area in central Kolkata. This restaurant is very near to the central metro station… just 5 minutes walking distance. There are many other chinese restaurants in this area like Tung Nam etc. but this restaurant is the best in my opinion in ambience, atmosphere, location and most importantly in food and in pricing. This place is well maintained and not at all shabby like other chinese restaurants in this area. It is very spacious and easy to get a table as it is underrated. A Little bit difficult to get parking but if you have a bike/scooter it won’t be a problem to park. Now coming to food, the quantity and taste of the food is best in regards to price. There are many main course curry items which you can order half a plate if you are alone so there is no need to waste food. They have some uncommon curry items which are not easily available in other chinese restaurants. This restaurant is best for pork items…well cooked, juicy and fresh pork meat is best to have. There are both spicy and non spicy dishes so this place is for all. The price of the food is very moderate and easily affordable. They provide a sufficient quantity of food for every dish. All rice items are enough for two people as well as the chowmin. Full plate curry items are good enough for two people. I recommend you must go to this place at least once if you are new to Kolkata city for work or travelling and people who reside in Kolkata city, if you visit this restaurant once, you will be a fan of this place and will turn into a regular customer. My recommendation : Chilli Garlic Noodles, coriander burnt garlic fried rice, chill pork, chicken / pork wanton In photos : Chilli pork and coriander burnt garlic fried rice.
