Seems like an error

Hi LGs,

Recently I was searching for restaurants near me and while exploring the restaurant pages I found the in the menus the price is mentioned in Dollars, however these are Indian restaurants in India and for someone searching restaurants near me the price should reflect in Rupees.

I tried to edit however there is no option, please let me know if you have also come across this, is it an error we can report or it’s a feature we can not do anything about!!

Looking for information and guidance on this please.

Attaching screenshot of 2 restaurants as an example.

Here is what I see:

Please try to change your settings. I tried changing language in App between Danish and English. No change. Maybe it is a setting under your Google account. Or in your phones settings.

Or maybe there is a bug.

Hopefully others in India can check this.

Hi @MortenCopenhagen the link that you have given with this I can see Rupees icon, otherwise if search in google and see it is still dollars, I checked my location is India and language is English.

Hi @Vandana_shines Thank you for highlighting this. Even I am noticing this when I checked just now

Maybe it’s a bug @MortenCopenhagen

Please clarify if you see the wrong currency symbol in Google Maps. If on Google Search it is a completely different story.

Please add the links to demonstrate the problem in each restaurant. Maybe the issue could be in the link itself.

Interesting, @Ssiddharth2000

When I open the links you shared I see the Rupee symbol.

Google Maps works differently depending on the region. So maybe it is a bug, specific to your Region you are located in (not only the location of the restaurant).

@MoniDi, is this issue sufficiently documented for an escalation?
