Seedhi Ghat Masjid’s Interior, Near Gauhar Mahal Bhopal MP India.
Seedhi Ghat Masjid another peaceful and popular place of worship known as Maji Sahiba Kalan Masjid, located at the west of the Gohar Mahal, northern end of the upper lake. It was built by Maji Sahiba, and it’s a complete stone structure.
It’s one of the beautiful mosque not as large as other heritage mosques. Later construction which were not matched to the original structure, became the cause of loosing its exterior visible beauty.
Structure is having exquisite carved colums with decorated square base or Corinthian base, twin carved columns with rectangular bases, used in the middle row, and the magnificent decorated capitals, plain stone beams to support the roof, its architecture is exemplary and purely Islamic architecture. All columns are carved from a single block of stone with separate capitals. Here the Friday prayer is held at 02:45 PM. It’s a major attraction of the heritage walk.
After bowing to the Almighty I never despise anyone, and here the Imam is a very knowledgeable and kind person who always gives the tips for better life, so I love to offer prayers in this mosque.
Indian Tea House is situated just opposite to the mosque, from where the Upper Lake views, Gohar Mahal’s, Moti Mahal’s views can be enjoyed after the Sunset.
