See it from the other lens

Hi,

I remember when Google started its local guides program in my country. Back then I used to think why should I spend my time on energy on contributing without getting nothing in return except for some badges.

Well, I didn’t really knew the power of crowd sourcing back then.

But then slowly I begin to realize that the things I’m searching locally, let say a grocery store or a cinema hall started having their photos and timings along with reviews from some regular local people like me. The photos gave an idea of place we’re going to and its the view of the world from someone’s lens. It’s someone’s way of perception of things and as someone said “In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.” I can visit that place again and again in my mind with photographs and memories.

Most of my contribution on Google Local Guides is of the photographs of places I’ve visited. Its just another drop in the ocean but Google’s engines really work hard to show the most relevant pictures of a place that I search and that’s what I love the most about Google. Clicking photos is not a task. It’s an experience captured into a memory that will last longer even after you’re gone.

So, enjoy your time. Click on some memories and help make world a better place by sharing meaning photos on Google Local Guides.

Bye!
