Hello my LG friends,

Yesterday when I visited the farm, I ate up the last delicious karanda fruits.

  • These fruits season has ended just.
  • These are very testy, sweet fruits.
  • Mostly found in the Indian jungles.
  • Scientific name : Carissa carandas
  • In Maharashtra state these fruits are also called as ‘karawanda’.
  • When ever I use to go in Jungle with friends we always in search of these fruits :smile: as treat…

It is very nice and my favourite fruit. I used to eat a lots in my childhood in my village kolhapur in Summer vacation. It’s taste throws me back in my childhood golden memories… Thank you for sharing it with us :blush: @Tejasghagroha . I am getting this fruits in Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali. I live here. Yesterday only i enjoyed Karwanda :yum: .

I had enjoyed this when I was in my school days and visit to my village. My village was nearer to mountain and during summer when I visit me with village boys would go over mountain and enjoy this beautiful fruits. Here it is known as “kantei koli”. Thank you for refreshing memories @Tejasghagroha .
