I’ve been a digital nomad for the past 4 years, and it’s important for me to be able to work everywhere.
Hence, in my reviews of places, I usually focus on the quality of Wi-Fi, sockets available, overall impression, and, of course, how good the coffee is. Whenever I find a gem among coffee shops or hotels, I don’t keep it to myself — I make sure to share it with the community. That’s why my contributions are from all over the world, covering all continents, and even some remote locations & small cities.
I might be taking Local Guides mission too serious, but I do write quite long reviews on Google Maps, and add photos and videos to almost every review. Every time I see a fellow Local Guide doing the same — I smile and thank her or him in my mind.
I had friends who visited and loved some places because they saw a review from me on Google Maps. It makes me shine from inside, and these are the cases that I know about. How many stories out there I don’t know! This is an exciting journey, and I’m happy to continue being a part of something bigger than me.
