The sculpture Earth Mother is situated at Royal Botanical Garden and near the Opera House in Sydney. This sculpture is inspired by the forms and textures of the landscape and natural rock formations. It is made from a complex mixture of sand and earth. It is a symbol for the spiritual and physical connections between humans and the earth.
It has two parts: one is the mother’s torso, her arms forming an arch and a circular inner space; and the other is her legs. This is a visual metaphor for the interconnectedness of all the living forms with the earth itself.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful photos with us, the area and the sculpture look amazing!
Is this a famous destination among locals and tourists? Are there any cafes or restaurants nearby, where one can have something to eat and drink?
Is this park available on Google Maps? In case it is, feel free to edit your post and add its Google Maps link. By doing so, the other Local Guides will visualize better where it is located.
This sculpture is inside the Royal Botanical Garden, in Sydney just next to the entrance from the Sydney Opera House. The Garden is on Google Maps but there is no POI for the sculpture. I tried to add on Maps but no success.
