The Sculpture of a bullock cart in Mymensingh. The bullock cart was an ancient transport in our country; it was a traditional transport specially in the rural area. Now a days it rarely seen, but still use in some places to transport goods in village area.
Hello @AbdullahAM
Nice photo of the ancient cart. It’s a very clear photo too. Is that place some kind of museum or what? I love museums and places for ancient stories and things.
I never used a cart all my life,it was faced out long before I was born. I wouldn’t mind riding on one though, just for the fun of it. It surely is environmental friendly,no pollution to the environment.
I remember seeing some in
Mali and Senegal when I visited but never had a ride on them, pity !
Nice post and thanks for sharing the post.
Cheers

I had a chance to ride a bullock cart in my childhood while i was living in my village. You’re right that it is environmental friendly and no pollution to the environment; that’s why in the past climate was wonderful and comfortable for humans.
Thank you so much for your valuable comment my friend @SholaIB
You are welcome @AbdullahAM
Maybe I will get the chance someday. I will love to ride it really.
You are correct about the environment. Now with these cars and bikes etc the environment is damaged. Nice post
Cheers
I hope one day you will get a chance if you try, specially in the village area @SholaIB
definitely you will feel pleasure after riding a bullock cart.
Thank you so much for your nice comment @KhaledHamad
I remember riding on such cart as a kid, while going to our village. Usually we used to go there by boat, but for some reason that year it didn’t rain much, so the rivers and canals got dry. Hence we went to village on a gorur gari aka bullock cart. It was fun. Thank you for sharing the picture @AbdullahAM and also thank you for reminding me of those lovely days.
@SholaIB it is fun riding on such cart. You will feel like you are on a swing or on a boat even after the ride is over. If the road is a little bumpy, the feeling will be stronger. But it is really fun.
Hello @SoniaK
I can’t really imagine it now but seeing you have likened it to a swing I can relate with that.
I believe it will be a good crack. I wish I could enjoy one but it’s not really looking hopeful.
I’ll make sure to lookout for one in some ancient museum somewhere someday. I’ll write a post too.
Cheers
It’s remind us the Bengali’s culture and tradition.
@AbdullahAM bhai, Thanks for representing Bangladesh.
Nice to know that you have experience riding a bullock cart @SoniaK apu. I still remember those memorable days in my childhood when I lived in my village and a lot of bullock carts would pass by the road next to our house; and we would see them, go back and forth and have a lot of fun. At that time people used it to transport goods like paddy, jute, bricks etc. and rarely women used to visit their relatives.
Thank you so much for your inspiring comment @AlidMahmud
Why don’t you just plan a visit to one of those Asian countries, like Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and so on instead of looking for the carts in the museum @SholaIB ? It will be like hitting two birds with one stone.
