Scenes or pictures that trigger songs

I’m pretty sure I’m not the only ‘weirdo’ that walks around looking at the landscape, buildings, animals, towns, cities or even the world and get’s triggered by it to start singing a song related to it.
For those who are already lost in what I’m trying to say I will give you some of my examples.

Walking around in late autumn or winter makes me start singing (many times):

"All the leaves are brown,

and the sky is grey,

I’ve been for a walk,

o**n such a winter’s day"

by: The Mamas & The Papas

Just this morning I woke up very early and decided to go out for a bike ride towards the sun. Seeing the beautiful colours of the twilight made me sing:

"Need a little time to wake up,

Need a little time to rest your mind
You know you should so I guess you might as well

What’s the story morning glory?"
By*: Oasis*

Ps. When I sing about ‘Morning Glory’ I’m referring to the glorious colours of the twilight not the British slang version!

On my boat trips to the UK sailing from Calais this song just pops up in my mind:

"I am wondering today in the sun on a boat to Dover
Whose shadow it is that appears as I bend over
It’s Mr. Freeze, I hear no sound
As I focus on the amount of my emotions"

Do you also have such moments please share them at this post. For some poems might have the same effect and if they do please share too.

Haha interesting post and great photos to support it @Erik_van_den_Ham . My problem is that when I trigger perhaps for the reason you mention, I might start singing a song (to myself of course), it very often keeps repeating in my head for quite some time, the stuck song syndrome lol.

Indeed @AdamGT the danger is these songs do become an ‘earworm’ and will stuck in my head for a long time. They better be some good songs or they will drive you crazy.

Ah that’s what they’re called “earworms”, thank you @Erik_van_den_Ham . Yes they can certainly drive one crazy.

Hi @Erik_van_den_Ham I really liked the idea of combining images and phrases of songs. Thanks for sharing.
