Hai, my name is Irpan, from Bandung, Indonesia.
Tourism is good for human economy. But the ugly truth is, tourism is bad for nature. Garbage, Ecosystem Change, Exploitation, etc.
So, let’s held a Save Nature Day, the day when we doing something that trying to save the nature.
Collecting garbage, Waste Management system Contest, plant a tree, whatever, that could help the nature.
And may be “stop tourism” for only a day or several day in a year.
Let the nature catch a breath.
What do you think?
Hello @irpanisme ,
Thank you for sharing, this is indeed a great activity idea.
Maybe you don’t know about this but a lot of our Local Guides are organizing that type of meet-ups about cleaning up the world.
For example one of the Local Guides from Indonesia @RiverDefender , who are very active in such movement, you can check his profile or even write to him. He shares a lot of inspiring activities, to increase awareness about the importance of taking care of our planet.
In addition to that I am moving your post to the meet-ups topic label and you can organize an official meet-ups by planning it here.
I recommend reading this post How to Organize a Local Guides Meet-Up which gives you helpful ideas on the types of activities you can plan and some guidance and tips for helping you organize a successful event for yourself and the Local Guides in your area!
Hi @AngieYC
