Momos are one of the most famous street foods in India. It is a Nepalese dish, and it is widely popular in both Nepal and India.
Momos chutney is a tomato based sauce, which is quite spicy.
I love to cook this chutney, and I can eat it with almost anything.
Recipe and its procedure:
Take 4-5 tomatoes and cut them in half. Add the tomatoes and 8-9 dried red chillies in water. Adding dried red chillies will make the sauce very spicy so de-seed the chillies before adding them in water, as this would help you control the spice level. Turn off the heat when tomatoes soften. If you’re able to remove the skins from tomatoes, that would be great!!
Cool them down and blend them till they become a fine paste.
Take a pan and add some oil. Add finely chopped garlic and ginger. Take atleast 10 cloves of garlic, as this would add an amazing flavour to the sauce. Cook them till they start turning golden brown.
At this point, add in your blended paste, and cook it till oil starts separating from tomatoes. Add salt (as per your taste), black pepper, red chilli powder (in case you want the sauce to be more spicy), a pinch of garam masala, 1 teaspoon of soy sauce and a little water.
Cook it till the sauce thickens and then turn off the heat.
Your momos chutney is ready!!
