I was unsure where to post this but hopefully it’ll end up in front of the audience I’m intending it for.
I’m in the UK but follow Santa Cruz, CA content shared on here with a great deal of interest - I worked over there for a while and had planned to move out permanently until 9/11 happened and the opportunity to do so was lost. It’s a place that will always hold a special place in my heart and remains a “happy place” I can go to in my head when I need to reflect.
I still have friends in the area though and was saddened to see one of them discussing the current CZU Lightning Complex fires, these don’t seem to have received any coverage on the news over here in the UK.
I just wanted to reach out to fellow Local Guides in the Santa Cruz area and share my thoughts and wish you well, I hope you aren’t affected and remain safe.
For anyone wondering what the heck I’m talking about there’s a resource from Google that shows the boundary of the fire and provides links to information.
