Why I love Peruvian Restaurant La Lucha’s french fries
All over the world, people are obsessed with french fries… And I definitely belong to that group! However, not all of them taste the same or even leave the same sensation after eating. I’m from Venezuela and I have traveled a lot because I love to meet new places and cultures. I’ve been to Argentina, Panama, Cuba, Ecuador, and right now I’m writing from Lima, Peru.
What I love the most about being a local guide is just that: discovering new people and places. Being food a very important thing in my life, I always try to share my own experiences. This time I want to specially talk about one particular Peruvian restaurant, La Lucha. As I write I can’t stop thinking about their french fries.
They offer some of the greatest sandwiches as well, but I have to admit that I’ve fallen in love with their french fries. Here’s why:
La Lucha uses a special Peruvian potato named ‘Huayro’. Though I’ve never tried it before, I loved it instantly. It has a particular flavor and texture. So crunchy that these fries will transport you to heaven. Another characteristic is that they are left with the potato skin, therefore the crunchy sensation.
I hope that if you ever get the chance to come to Peru, you will try La Lucha’s french fries. I particularly love the one that is located at Miraflores, right in front of Kennedy Park. So far, these are my top fries ever. I should keep on traveling and exploring my passion for food all over the world. Discovering delicious and typical plates… that is life!
