San Marino is an independent ancient state in the center of Italy

today I want to tell you about my one-day trip to the state of San Marino. This state is very small. It is located in the center of Italy on mount Titan. It is very rich. And the locals live very well there. It doesn’t even have its own airport. I got there from Rimini. 30 minutes by bus. You go up the mountain. A real independent fortress. With a great view of Italy. Old stone house. Free trade. And silence. By the way, we got to the wine and champagne tasting and so we were in a great mood.We took a long walk through the medieval fortress of the city and listened to the guide’s story. She told us that a real sanmarinets has a lot of privileges: he can choose any University in the world, can once a year go on vacation to any starana and a lot of things. But to do this, he must be a sanmarin (i.e. born). San Marino is the oldest Republic on the planet. The climate is Mediterranean, and the population is 33,000. And here he is. at the expense of banks. like that. And citizenship is not easy to get. I will tell you more about my feelings. I would love to stay there for a week and believe me, I would find something to enjoy. A Cup of coffee on a high mountain …for breakfast. and that’s all you need. I encourage travelers who like small towns to visit San Marino. I will go there with great pleasure.

  • @TorM thank you for your response! in this review, photos from your phone. the city-state is unique with an interesting history. and when you walk along it, it feels like you are in a time machine and it seems that a monk in medieval clothes will come around the corner)))*

Hello @Sviatlana ,

Thanks for sharing this nice post with us! San Marino is indeed a piece of history itself and I am very fascinated by the fact that they managed to keep their identity for so many centuries. Despite I am Italian, I never had the chance to visit it and one day I hope I will. :slightly_smiling_face: Do you have other pictures of your trip?

If you want, you can read this interesting article where I hope you can find helpful tips: How to take great photos in low light.
