This is my very first post in Local Guides Connect and I would like to talk to all of you of a very important exposition which will be in San José’s streets for the next months.
I’m sure that the most of you have heard about Costa Rica because of the mountains, beaches and the fa
una, but there’s too much than nature.
For the next months San José will be an outdoor museum with an spectacular art exhibition from Jorge Jiménez Deredia, a costarrican sculptor who has shown his art in many countries around the world.
The exhibition will be able for all the people who visit San Jose from february 20th to July 14th for free in two of the most important parks in
San José: Plaza de la Cultura and Plaza de la Democracia.
If you have planned coming to Costa Rica in the next months you should considerer take a couple of hours to visit the sculptures, enjoy the costarrican art and take an awesome picture.
Just consider the next points for your visit:
- Exhibition is free until the next July 14th.
- Sculptures are located mainly in the Plaza de la Democracia and Plaza de la Cultura, but there’re also some pieces of art in the Central Boulevard (AV 0) from the Costa Rica’s Central Bank office until the National Museum.
- If you want to take a great photo you should visit the exhibition from Monday to Friday, for avoiding people agglomeration.
- Wear some comfy shoes and get prepared for walking.
I hope some of you have the opportunity to watch the Jimenez Deredia’s job and enjoy it as much as I did.
Best regards and Pura vida, as we say in Costa Rica.
